Fukuchani Aquarium

This excursion leads us to the Fukuchani Aquarium, about 15 minuted drive from Nungwi. The aquarium was established in 2002 by a local fisherman. The water supply for its natural pond comes from an undertow right from the ocean. Apart from oceanic species like sea turtles, various species of fish and more, you will also find some of Zanzibar’s native animals like dik-diks, various kinds of butterflies, bush babies and more.
